Hello! My name is Bethany Baron. This is my third year teaching at Carpenter
Elementary. I graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a degree in Elementary
Education. Within the School of Education, I minored in reading and language arts. Prior
to graduating, I was a student teacher at Burns Park Elementary in a fifth grade
classroom. Afterwards, I was hired on as a building substitute. Then, came to
Carpenter. This past summer, I taught first grade summer school at Mitchell Elementary.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy hanging out with my family and friends. Some things
I like to do are watch movies, play video games, and read books. I also like to travel and
do 1,000 piece puzzles. One of my goals in life is to visit all the state parks in Michigan.
So far, I think I am at twenty parks.
As a teacher at Carpenter Elementary, I plan to provide a safe and fun learning
environment for all students. I look forward to getting to know our students because I
believe student interest can be used in learning. All in all, I can’t wait to meet everyone this fall!
